In his speech, the President of the UEMOA Court of Justice, Mahawa Sémou DIOUF, recalled that the judicial control body is faced with a number of challenges, in particular the need to improve access to the Court, by dematerialising its procedures and reducing the time taken to deal with cases brought before it.

Added to this is the need to make Community law more widely known, by codifying Community texts and continuing to raise awareness and train national players, as well as drawing up and implementing a strategic plan to ensure that the Court's management is results-based. "In implementing all these actions, the Court hopes to have on its side all the States and Community bodies, and the UEMOA Commission in particular," expressed the hope of President Mahawa Sémou DIOUF.

Judge Abdourahamane GAYAKOYE SABI, in his presentation of the report on the theme of the 2023-2024 judicial year of the UEMOA Court of Justice, shared with the audience the main non-judicial activities carried out by the Court. He focused on legal advice, the promotion of Community law and judicial cooperation.
